Arrowood and Matanzas wineries "crush" their wine-cruise deposits - by $1000 per person.
To celebrate the wine-harvest, Arrowood Winery and Matanzas Creek Winery announce that they have "crushed" (or reduced) the normal $1100 per-person program deposit to $100 for their May 2-14, 2009 "Best of the Sonoma Valley" wine-cruise.
Travelers that book before December 15 will also receive an extra $100 per-cabin onboard cruise credit as well as free prepaid gratuities; which are valued at $240 to $400 depending on the length of the cruise and the cabin location.
The Best of Sonoma Valley cruise includes the normal trappings of a deluxe cruise — gourmet meals, accommodations, nightly entertainment and a deluxe spa — as well as private wine seminars, tastings and a winemaker's dinner, hosted by François Cordesse, Winemaker Matanzas Creek Winery and Heidi von der Mehden, Associate Winemaker, Arrowood Vineyards. In addition, at many of the ports-of-call, optional wine tours and lunches at top wine estates are offered.
Besides the reduced deposit amount, the $100 cabin credit and free prepaid gratuities, this cruise also include free round-trip airfare to Europe. This reduces the per person trip cost to as low as $384 per day — which given the current weakness of the US dollar, is a great deal and far less than a similar length, European land vacation.
