90 Points - "The 2008 Côte de Lune Blanc Saralee's Vineyard (41% Marsanne, 39% Roussanne, and 20% Viognier) offers up
intriguing notes of licorice, lychee nut, honeysuckle, clove, and yellow apples. This well-made, medium to full-bodied, richly
fruity, complex white is meant to be consumed during its first 1-2 years of life."
- Robert Parker, Jr., Wine Advocate, December 2010
Winemaker's Notes
The nose is a complex mix of floral and tropical aromatics. In the mouth, flavors of peach, pineapple and pear mix with the aromas to
create an incredible sensory experience. Because the wine was fermented in seasoned oak barrels, the oak acts as a subtle spice backdrop
for the tropical flavors, smooth texture and crisp finish.
Côte de Lune Blanc is excellent with food. Choose a preparation that picks up on the wine’s fruit flavors and sweet spices.
As a cocktail wine, Côte de Lune Blanc can be served with sweet or salty appetizers. Enjoy it over the next one to two years.
