About The Wine
The 2009 vintage marks our ninth release of Gewürztraminer from the cool-climate Saralee's Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Gewürztraminer is
a delightful, spicy white wine with a heritage from the Alsatian region of France and Germany. Spicy and more flavorful than almost any other white
wine, it is known for its lavish aromatics and depth of flavor. While Gewürztraminer from France and Germany has long been considered the best in
the wine world, in recent years California has gained a reputation for producing equally delicious versions of this delicate variety.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet offers intense spices and fragrant aromas of tropical lychee, rose petals, and bright citrus blossoms. On the palate, the wine is
dry with exotic layers of floral notes, spices, and fruit, balanced with crisp acidity and a lengthy finish.
