Arrowood April Release

Dear Arrowood Members,

Spring has arrived, and it's time for your Spring Release! As you look forward to enjoying our new wines in the sunny days ahead, we have an exciting surprise for you in this upcoming shipment.

Last fall, we announced that Arrowood is now part of the Spire Collection. In addition to our beloved Arrowood wines, we are delighted to share with you two exceptional new wines from the luxury Spire portfolio in your Spring shipment.

We are thrilled to include these two new wines along with the newly released 2021 Smother Remick Cabernet Sauvignon. We hope you discover and add some new favorites to your collection. Now, let's explore what our winemakers, Kristina Shideler and Chris Carpenter, have curated for you in this new release:

Smothers-Remick Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, Smothers – Remick Ridge Vineyard

The elevation of this vineyard lends itself to exhibit a distinct aromatic quality, where the classic Sonoma Valley red fruit character is taken to a new level. Intensely perfumed with dark cherry and mulberry, this decadence is greeted on the palate with deeply concentrated structure. Dark and complex flavors of licorice and cigar box carry through on the palate with velvety tannin and a notable acidity that will allow this wine to age effortlessly for many years.

Cellar recommendation: Now through 2040

Arrowood Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

2020 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2020 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is bold with black forest fruit, dried blueberries and anise, nuanced with violet, sage and clove. Densely concentrated and layered on the palate with dark fruits such as black berry, graphite and cocoa nibs.

mt. brave cabernet sauvignon

2019 Cabernet Sauvignon - Mt. Brave Vineyard

The 2019 vintage brought upon a very wet winter, frequent foggy spring mornings, and a mild summer with just a handful of brief heat spikes. Temperate fall weather allowed for extended hang time, and our last fruit came off the vines in late October. A benchmark vintage, the 2019 Cabernet shows notes of black cherry, blueberry, and Asian spice. On the palate, the wine has a profound density of fruit that is structured by fine tannins while the perfectly balanced acidity elongates a long savory finish

capture wines sauvignon blanc

2023 Capture Pine Mountain Sauvignon Blanc - Cloverdale Peak

The 2023 version of Capture Pine Mountain Sauvignon Blanc is mysterious. The romas are layered, bouncing between lime zest, lemon verbna, and some slate. The aroma isn’t complete without the vineyard's trademark hint of savory mountain scrub best described as soft chamomile or dried sage – this time with some added lychee. The palate is zippy! The natural acidity is extremely bright and framed by the variety’s

trademark fruit bouquet of fresh key lime, dried orange, and a hint of fresh jasmine tea. The initial fruit is balanced by an elegant texture and an overall softness that is achieved through lees stirring, which also helps in balancing the high acidity. Yum. What a pleasure it has been making this wine from such an incredible single vin yard site.
